Predatory Enrichment


Goal Behaviors Targeted

Behavior #1: an increase in exploration and play and # 3: an increase in predatory and foraging behavior (moving about to look for “prey”; stalking, killing, and consuming of “prey” , where “prey” is acceptable food for the zoo setting )


Set-up

Chicken drumsticks are hung on an aerial zip line.


Data Collection Option 2: Accumulation of daily observations during normal species interaction and maintenance by the keeper and volunteers.


Conclusions

Both females are enthusiastic with this activity, our male is less interested if it is to made to challenging.
